Stevens Construction & Design has been building commercial and residential projects across Louisiana and Mississippi since 2010. Four licensed trades sit under one roof — construction, roofing, electrical and air conditioning — so the work that usually gets handed between three companies stays with one accountable team.

Complimentary in-house design on every residential project

Most contractors send you to an architect or designer before they will price anything, and that bill lands on you before a shovel moves. We do residential design in house at no cost on every project we build. Clients routinely save thousands of dollars in design fees, and — more importantly — the person drawing the plan is the person who has to build it, which is where cost overruns usually come from in the first place.

On complex commercial work we partner with design professionals and engineers directly, coordinating drawings against real construction cost before the set is finished rather than after the bids come back high.

What we build

New construction

Ground-up residential and commercial construction, from site work and slab through final walkthrough. Acadian, traditional and contemporary residential; retail, office, institutional and light industrial commercial.

Additions

Primary suites, in-law suites, second stories, garages and camp-style elevated additions. Additions are where matching matters most — roof lines, brick, siding, trim profiles and floor heights all have to read as original.

Renovations and remodels

Whole-home renovation, kitchens, baths, historic and Victorian restoration, and post-storm rebuilds. We take on the projects other contractors bid high on to avoid.

Commercial buildout and maintenance

Tenant improvement, interior buildout, and ongoing facility maintenance contracts for commercial clients who need one number to call.

How a project runs with us

• Conversation and site visit. We look at the property, listen to the program, and tell you honestly what it will take.
• In-house design. Complimentary on residential work — plans, elevations and revisions until it is right.
• Written scope and price. Line-item, with allowances stated in plain language so you know what is and is not in the number.
• Permitting and construction. We pull the permits, manage the trades, and keep a single superintendent accountable for the site.
• Punch and closeout. Final walkthrough, warranty documents, and lien releases.

Louisiana Contractor License #64089 and #883833. Mississippi Contractor License #R2272. FORTIFIED Gold certified roofing contractor. Licensed statewide for electrical and HVAC. Fully insured. Financing is available on qualifying projects.

Headquartered in Mandeville, we build throughout St. Tammany Parish — Covington, Madisonville, Slidell, Abita Springs, Folsom, Lacombe and Pearl River — as well as Hammond and Ponchatoula, Baton Rouge and Denham Springs, Metairie, Kenner and New Orleans, Houma and Thibodaux, and Lafayette. In Mississippi we work the coast and southern counties: Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Picayune and Hattiesburg.
